I am so proud of the way you set goals and work toward them even when you come up to a mountain. I read a quote this morning that I would like to share(not that you need any help) "I believe that what God has placed inside me is superior to the mountains that stand in my way." This might help you through a low point during your training or races. Love you, Mom
Each experience teaches you something, perhaps more from those that spawn dissapointment as from those from which we soar! Do the work, but understand that your mind is the strongest asset you posess... the muscles will perform if properly trained.
Your running goal looks a bit light for the year... ;)
Brian...I know your dad for running...we are both dysfunctional that way...and he forwarded this to me...stating, "A Chip off the ol Block." I think you are smarter than your dad though...you actually got you a sweet bike...you are now on my blog list.
Dad, how far did you swim and bike last year? Yeah, that's what I thought. The way I see it is you don't gain the experience from a disappointment unless you can take learning points away for next time.
Dave, thanks for stopping by. I checked out your blog too and enjoyed the read. As for the sweet bike...I can't talk too much trash to my Dad since he took me to school at the Hotter than Hell a few years back...ON A FIXED GEAR!!!
